The Joy on Dad’s Face Said It All

In recognition of our 25 years of service, past and current residents and families are sharing their experiences at The Lodge.

“When our family began searching for the right assisted living community for Dad, we wanted a place that felt warm, welcoming, and personal—not just a facility. The Lodge at Lone Tree Creek offered exactly that. With its home-like setting, delicious homemade meals, and caring staff, Dad could enjoy the comfort of his own small apartment while still having privacy and independence.

One of our most treasured memories was celebrating Dad’s 92nd birthday at The Lodge. We hosted an open house in the cozy front fireplace area, inviting family, friends, and fellow residents. The joy on Dad’s face as he greeted each guest—smiling from ear to ear—was unforgettable.

The Lodge also gave Dad the opportunity to keep doing what he loved. At home, he had always taken pride in his garden and lawn care. Here, he was able to tend to plants inside, water flowers outside, and even plant tomatoes and cucumbers in the garden boxes. It kept him active, outdoors, and connected to his passions.

What stood out most was the genuine care and compassion from the staff. They not only looked after his needs but also provided comfort, companionship, and dignity in his final days. We knew he was never alone.
