Resident Spotlight: Donna Brown
This month we’re delighted to feature Donna Brown, a lifelong Sidney native whose warmth and steady faith have helped shape our community.
Born and raised in Sidney, Montana
Donna was born in Sidney and has lived here her whole life. Growing up during World War II left strong memories and shaped the values of her generation. She notes that life felt simpler then and that today’s children often take many things for granted.
A love story that started with bingo
Donna met her husband while playing bingo at a high school event — a chance meeting that became a lifelong partnership filled with shared memories.
Early work and lifelong lessons
Her first job was working in the field with her dad, an experience that taught her the value of hard work and responsibility.
A generous heart
If Donna won a million dollars, she would first pay off any debt the church has and then donate the remainder to people in need — a reflection of her deep commitment to her faith and community.
Hobbies and cherished moments
Donna enjoys sewing and playing the piano, activities that bring her joy and creative fulfillment. When asked about revisiting any age, she finds it hard to choose because she has lived a good life.
Words that guide her
The most memorable advice Donna received from her parents and grandparents was to always be honest. That simple principle has guided her decisions and relationships.
Favorite family tradition
Donna’s favorite family tradition is getting together at Christmastime, a yearly gathering that brings family and friends close.
Donna’s life reminds us of the lasting importance of faith, family, honesty, and service. We’re grateful to have her as part of The Lodge family and pleased to share a glimpse of her story.
